Hey,

Happy arrival of Spring! This past week we paused to celebrate the Spring Equinox as a journaling community. It was, as always, a gorgeous reminder to slow down and reconnect with ourselves, each other and this planet we’ve found ourselves living on.

I’ve put the recording and session notes at the bottom of this post for paid subscribers, but I thought I’d send this out to everyone because it’s a simple journaling exercise that would be nice to do with a cup of tea over the weekend. Perhaps sat in the garden. Perhaps still snuggled under a blanket (March is still a bit sketchy on the weather front isn’t it).

It could very easily be done with older kids, just adapt / reword the questions slightly. And if you’re not a reader, for example, just switch out ‘one book I want to read’ for ‘film I want to watch’, or ‘restaurant I want to visit’ or ‘walk I want to do.’ Or add in as many of these as you like. As the new season stretches out ahead of us, I think it’s nice to get intentional with our time and energy. Writing mine also helped me to narrow down my priorities (of course I want to read about twenty books but if I do want to make sure I read one in particular it would be….)

I get pretty excited about Spring. In fact the problem is I want to do ALL the things. This helps with both. Hope it works for you too (excuse my handwriting, hope it’s eligable):
