Oh, incase that wasn't clear, our first session in February will be full of 'review the year / make plans for 2025' type prompts. Oooh I have some good ones. xx
Nelly!!! i‘ve just set up an "official" writer's studio in my house (with help from the sweetest, most encouraging partner in the world) and had begun thinking about this VERY THING! how serendipitous! i’m so looking forward to the start of this process. thank you for doing the heavy lifting so that we can reap the benefits of your process!
Oh Janet I want to see that space please!?! Here's to wonderful partners!!! A few people have mentioned that this has arrived at the 'right time.' Funny that isn't it. I love it when things like that happen. I've just done a book order and I am now more excited than ever. Can't wait to do get started xxx
i’d happily send you photos. it’s very modest, believe me…just a little corner in a spare room. but it “feels” right. you know? i’m recovering from knee surgery right now, but as soon as i can hobble up there i’ll take a few pictures 😊
I’ve got my lovely new notebook but realised the kids swimming lesson is now Sunday afternoon 😭 are you recording or providing prompts so I can catch up?!
Gah, swimming lessons are the hardest to work around aren’t they 🤣 Yes of course, recorded, a workbook type thing too. U can create your own spot later to catch up x
How do you do this? It’s like you are in my head, hearing all my wishes!! I bought a new A4 journal because I wanted to create something more creative & special this year (I’m trying to make my 40th year a good one), I literally saved some tarot cards yesterday to buy to feed my witch obsession but most importantly the wheel of the year stuff is something I’m desperate to understand and follow more - honestly it’s a little bit freaky 😂 I’m so up for this, especially the time change and new mini approach retreats, like you my evening energy is so hard to push against, even for the things I know I love! Cannot wait, eek!!
Eeeeeek. It's like this is what we were meant to do. To say I am excited about this would be an understatement. You get yourself those tarot cards my friend. I love mine. Can't wait xxx
Yes yes yes and quadruple yes for the new journal. Looking forward to the book ideas, totally thought the retreat meant we were going away for the night, I was ready to book that in 🤣.
I am screen shotting the date list to plan in babysitters right now! I did once a long time ago, go to a group that focused on tarot, the solar system and nature. I was so keen, did readings for my friends and read loads, but didn't stick at it (story of ADHD). I would love to re discover it at a different stage with a new outlook.
Re general journalling,
I found your summer daily prompts absolute gems. (I was typically late though, I did them in September) I am NOT a morning person, and find it hard to write when everyone is more awake than me. I do however, look forward to gleefully bidding good night to my husband, having a
brew in peace (bed) at 9.30, and love a prompt as somehow it is always relevant to something in my day, calming my mind before sleep.
After spending my first week of 2025 on a camp bed on the children's ward, I am really looking forward to getting back to my journalling and writing down some prompts.
So glad I found you Helen!/Hels/Nels/Nelly (I mean which should I use on the school run?!)
I am so glad we found each other too. And I like that we have this sort of separate writerly witchy world, which we barely mention on the school run but then switch into at night, haha. Crappy start to your year mate. Glad that's over. Get that new journal ready, we are gonna create something very special. xx (p.s call me whatever, I use Nelly as my 'author name' just coz, why not. My family all call me Nelly. Other people call me Hels. Like both)
I have just subscribed 🤍 Can’t wait to join in! I really want to grow in words that are just for me, are scruffy and free and about the life that is in front of me not ahead of me. I love what you are doing here (and being) 🥰
Helen you have literally READ MY MIND! I was listening to that Witch podcast (have you heard it?) and thinking about the wheel of the year and how I could embed it more in my life. This is PERFECT! Yes yes YES! xxx
Yeyyyy, I always just need one YES to stop me worrying about it. Thank you. OMG I loved that podcast, still think about it. Might listen again actually xxx
I'm in! I just subscribed and I'm so excited about this! Firstly because Imbolc always feels more like the beginning of the year than 1 January, and secondly, because I'm turning 50 this year and I love the idea of creating a seasonal record of this pivotal year. 🔥✨💛
A seasonal record! Yes!!! What a beautiful thing that will be. I’m a fellow cold water lover (though more dipper than swimmer). Just enjoyed your Selkie post. So glad we’ve found each other x

As usual up for ANY ideas you suggest Helen! Yes to this and the retreats feel like EXACTLY what I need :)
ALL the writing and creativity this year. And coming back to ourselves xxx
